Today's post is about a few things that are new in the classroom this week to herald the start of autumn.
First off on Monday the children noticed the fall leaves hanging on the sides of the window that is above where I sit at line time. You cannot see it well in the photo, but I also have fall gel stickers on the windows.
This is a leaf puzzle from my home that I put out today. I LOVE this puzzle. It is put together in layers by size.
Playdough has reappeared this week. I keep the playdough out on a table in the Practical Life area. It is the only work that doesn't have to be put away as it stays on that table. This week I added the fall placemat that you can see in the photo.
This leaf-shaped basket is holding the felt leaves I bought at Hobby Lobby. At group time today, I taught the children a new song about fall and we used the leaves as props. I will do a separate post about the song and activity.
