Here is our weekly photo gallery of what's been happening in the classroom.
Painting leaves with the watercolor paints has been a very popular activity this week. The painting itself takes quite a bit of concentration as the leaves are rather large and take quite a while to cover with paint.
Using an eye dropper to transfer colored water into the jack-o-lantern has also been a very popular activity this week.
Matching the jack-o-lantern faces is fun and requires good visual discrimination skills.
Building a scarecrow following a pattern is another good visual-motor activity.
This little boy is carefully coloring a paper version of the bead stair using the control card to check his work.
Making leaf spirals has been a favorite art project this week.
Several children have been busy each day pin-punching the continents to create their own continent maps to take home.
Bead stringing with the Halloween foam beads has been a nice variation this week. More refined fine motor skills are necessary for these beads as compared to the wooden beads we had out previously.
This is the bead stair hanger that was purchased new this year.
