I love the idea of lapbooks, but they look quite labour intensive. Are they? How long does it take to make one? Do your children help you cut the papers apart and glue them down or do you make it all up and then give it to them to work on?

Unrelated question: What are your favourite scissors for beginners? I'd like to buy some for my 3.5 year old but I have no idea what to look for. Metal edge? Spring loaded?

Ooh I love the lapbooks! I've just recently learned about them and want to make some with my 3 little ones. Do you think they're suitable for destructive 3 year olds?
