Here is our weekly photo gallery.
The children LOVE this new hammering activity.
Stringing the wooden spools has also been popular. They have to really concentrate to get the lace into the smaller holes in the spools.
The nesting dolls have been popular all year, and this Thanksgiving-themed set has been out each day getting worked with.
Plucking corn kernals with tweezers has been a fun activity this week. Within the next few weeks, look for an art project using all those little kernals.

Wooden nuts and bolts
This student is coloring her pictures for the pumpkin life cycle work.
This student has completed her red and yellow sound books and spelled some words using the moveable alphabet. We did this two ways. First, I dictated each sound for a CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word and she got the correct letters. Then she read her word. After we did three words that way, I gave her the whole word and she segmented it into its individual sounds and got the correct letters to spell the word.
Scooping popcorn kernals
This student is painting his paper plate to make a paper plate fish. This has been a VERY popular art activity and one that all the children can easily complete with success.
I put out a set of colored blocks this week on our Sensorial shelves. The children have enjoyed exploring how these blocks can go together to form creations.
