Leave it to a Montessori teacher to write a title like that and actually be serious about it! I didn't know how else to describe this new little practical life activity that's going on the shelves this week. I LOVE the colors of Valentine's Day. Maybe it's because I only have boys at home and the colors seem "girly" to me. I don't know. Anyway.......you will see lots of things over the next week or so that I am putting out that have red, pink, and purple in their color scheme. It's so fun to put together new activities using new colors each month.
This activity will require good fine motor control as well as good concentration. I would not have this out at the beginning of the year because I am not sure many of my students would have the focus needed to complete it. However, I am pretty sure that it will be used a lot over the next few weeks. The beads I'm using are pretty small, but just the right size to fit onto the little suction cups. I am using regular beauty tweezers to transfer them. As you can see in the photo below, I have intentionally set it up so you can do three rings of color. However, the children can choose to arrange the beads as they wish.

I have been searching for the suction cup holders you have - I love the fish one from an earlier post. Can you please advise where to find them??
