I spent quite a bit of time at school this weekend (as usual!) and have many new activities on the shelves. However, I keep forgetting to take photos of them. So.........in this lazy girl post I am going to link back to two turkey materials I made last year that are out on the shelves again this week. It was fun to hear my second year students say, "Hey! I remember that!" It was also reassuring to realize that they are still enthusiastic about materials they worked with last year. Kind of like seeing an old friend after a long absence I guess! Here is a link to a felt turkey with removable feathers that I sewed about a year ago. The children button the feathers onto the turkey's back. And here is a link to another turkey with feathers that attach with clothespins. This is great for strengthening little fingers as it takes quite a bit of squeezing to open the clothespins and good coordination to clip them onto the foam turkey body.

Laura, thanks for the reminder about the button turkey from last year! I just finished one up this morning for my son's Primary class. The teacher was so excited to put it out! I'll hopefully blog about it later today so you can check out the picture! Thanks for the inspiration.

I made a button turkey a few weeks ago and just posted about it today. I linked back to you, of course. :)

I love the salt shaker sculptures. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to get to a dollar store until next month, but they'd make darling Christmas arrangements with the right colour of beads. OOOOh, now I am thinking of a project to make with my 3 year old grandson for placecards for Christmas dinner with "Nana and Old Guy".
