Thank you so much for giving me the link. I read some of the journal, and WOW, how string are they to go though this. I can tell she has ALOT of angels watching over her and her family. It helps to reinforce my need to do SOMETHING for the fight of Cancer that is touching so many people.

Hi Laura,
I also havea caringbridge site and tried to pull up Kate and was unable to. Still trying to think of different ideas if you have any, let me know. I was thinking something with their hospital stay. My husband was in their for 3 weks and I know how hard it was for him, I'm sure it is must harder for the little ones. The kids, is where I would love to help.
Thank you for your input and if you have any ideas, please let me know. I love your site too. what great ideas. I would also like to start a blog if this works, still trying to figure that all out Its new to me

Dina:-)

Hi,Dina! Im glad you like the idea and am glad your husbandis in remission. I am sending you a link to a Caring Bridge website for a little girl named Kate McRae who has been battling brain cancer since last summer. Her family did a huge drive for Christmas gifts forchildren in her situation. I dont know if they would beopen to a book-giving idea after having just done Christmas, but that might be a place to start.
Take care and thanks for writing,
Laura

I love this idea too! I am also a preschool teacher and would love to start this as well. I have been looking for someway to give back! I will let you know what I come up with. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in the spring and is in remission(thank god), and I have been trying to come up with some kind of idea to give back to the children that are dealing with this. Something like this would be wonderful. Does anyone have ideas, of how I can do this?
