Here is the weekly photo gallery of what has been going on in the classroom this week.
Little hands using the new sponging activity. I am cracking up because you can see in the photo that this little person has the apron on totally wrong. It didn't phase them, obviously. However, after all that frenzied summer sewing of aprons, I am thinking I need to use a different pattern that is easier for them to put on.
The frog life cycle activity has been VERY popular this week.
Here is the brown stair. It has been neat to see that the children's "mastery" of some of the early sensorial materials is increasing week to week.
Pin-punching shapes is something that many children choose to do each day. This is such a great fine motor activity and requires tremendous perseverance and concentration on the part of the young child.
Two friends sat side by side, each with a rug, cylinder block and straw. (After I took the photo I DID remind them to place their work ON the rug so no one would step on it :0))
The nesting dolls have been out on the Practical Life shelf all year and are used daily. I can tell that the children's mastery of this material is increasing, because now more often than not, it is put together correctly when they return it to the shelf.
Hi Laura,
What kind of apron pattern were you thinking about?
Thanks,
Miri
