Wow!! 10 days off from the blog seems like forever!! It's good to be back. I really didn't have anything "Montessori" related to post until now. I just got home from spending the last 4 hours with the boys (my own boys, that is) in my classroom. So NOW I've got some new things to show you. I have a HUGE to-do list of things to get ready before the children return next Monday. But I did get quite a bit done today. In this post I'll share a few "snowy" new Practical Life activities.
I set up this spooning activity with sparkly white "snowballs" nestled in two frosted votive candle holders. I'm pretty sure I picked the votive holders up on a thrifting outing.
Here is a close-up so you can see how pretty and sparkly the pom-poms are.
This is a tonging activity using small snowman erasers.
Close-ups of what the activity looks like "completed".
And finally, to continue my "snowy" theme, a pouring activity using shiny white "ice-balls" (AKA white marbles) in cut crystal votive holders.
Thank you very much for all this amazing ideas that you are willing to share !!! I love geting a e-mails from this blog so much !!!!!

Hi there! I have to say that I fell in LOVE with your blog the moment I stumbled across it, I just love your creativity and devotion to teaching kids, and in the Montessori method!! I have only just begun teaching at a Montessori method for the past 3 months, and it's really lovely, I hope you dont mind if I take some of your ideas for my classroom? also I would like to ask your input please? I want to make a picture poster with the pictures of all of the kids in my classroom, however I dont want it to be just a regular old picture board.....something to do with history perhaps? as that's going to be our theme this first semester. Thanks so much!

Love it all. Oh I am so glad you are back, I think I am addicted to your blog, lol.
My Egg would love the dry pouring (is that what the correct name is?), for the noise! And I managed to find some tea bags tongs for some tonging fun!
Ps Signed up for kidssoup at last, thanks so much for recommending it all those times and I got Dogs colourful day for Eggs Christmas, will maybe do a post on this book at some point, as it is so perfect (and I am really fussy about books)!
Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sarcasim* What am I going to do all summer holidays?
