I found and printed this activity from Making Learning Fun. It's a great little activity for helping young children begin to understand the concept of addition.
Here is what you need to have on the tray for this activity.
To play, the child places a set of hats in numerical order next to the snowman card. Then they take one card from the red tray and place it on the red square of their snowman card. They do the same with a card from the green tray. Then they put the corresponding number of red and green pom-poms on their snowman and count the total number. The last step is to get the numbered hat card that matches their total number of pom-poms.
