A new activity on the Practical Life shelves this week is a simple droppering activity. I had some teeny tiny little glasses that I found while thrifting. I hadn't been able to create a work with them yet. So I was pleased when they seemed just right for this activity.
The glasses are probably no more than 1 1/2 inches tall and the tray is only about 6 inches wide. I think the teeniness of this work is an added point of interest. To do this work, the child simply uses the dropper to transfer the blue water from one glass to the other. The tiny sponge is used to wipe up any spills that may occur. It actually takes quite a bit of concentration for them to complete this activity, so it's a perfect work to add to the shelf at this point in the school year.
This is a fabulous activity to help with those fine motor skills. LOVE IT!

Oh! I've never used an eye-dropper for *basting*! What a great idea - I can't wait to put this lesson out in the classroom!
