Each month I tend to change up some of our favorite activities slightly by adding materials or components that fit into a seasonal theme. This month is no exception. Here are a few new variations of things we have out on the shelf most of the year.
Bead stringing is a BIG favorite and is used every single day. I am certain that my little ones will LOVE stringing heart beads onto this red cord in February.
This is the "bead bouquet" activity that I've had out now since I saw it on Itty Bitty Love a few months ago. Since people tend to give flower bouquets for Valentine's Day, my students will be creating their own bouquets using the green pipe cleaners and poking them into the salt shaker holes. Then they will slide a flower bead onto each stem to create a flower bouquet.
Lovely ideas! Funny how much kids love bead stringing; my daughter did it for an hour today. I think they find it satisfying to see their progress, and also they love tiny objects :)
