I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know that since I've had the Fall Tree Dice Game out in my classroom this week I've introduced another variation to it that the children have enjoyed. Once they have fully "decorated" their tree with fall leaves, they continue to roll the die and then let the leaves "fall" off the tree. For older children who are working on addition and subtraction concepts you could have them write a new equation each time they roll the die and complete an action. For example, if there are 8 leaves on the tree and they remove 2, they would write 8-2=6.
Love it!
